Karolina Chrabąszcz - Fears and expectations of region’s inhabitants regarding construction of motorway Krakow-Tarnow (research outcomes)

Article is presentation of result of research, by Scientific Circle of Estates carried „DOMUSS ”, at Department of Estates and Insurances on Malopolska School of Economics in Tarnow, about opinion of inhabitants of region in problem of building the part of motorway A4 Cracow - Tarnow. The poll covered 617 respondents inhabiting area of building the part of A4 Cracow - Tarnow. Inhabitants of the region, in 88% support construction of this motorway and 82% of all respondents promise, that they will use it in the future. First of all, they fear environmental pollution, boosted noise in the area along A4 and disturbances of relocation of wild animals. Article is attempt of appearance of every planned protections, which will be preventing damages, which are impossible for minimizing for zero. The author presents expecting benefits by region’s inhabitants and their beliefs on technical and economic aspects of part of A4’s building.

Maciej W. Wierzchowski, Marcin Nejman - Classification of regional real estate market in Poland. An attempt to use taxonomic analysis

The article presents an attempt to use the taxonomic analysis for the classification of the regional property markets in Poland, in the system 16 units - provinces (equivalent, in accordance with the nomenclature of territorial division of the country for statistical purposes, level NUTS -2). In the analysis were used raw data of polish central statistical office (GUS ) aggregated at the county level. To conduct a cluster analysis was used the most prevalent operating tool that is a hierarchical procedure JH Ward, which is a multi-dimensional analysis. In researches was used software STATISTICA 8 from StatSoft Company. To carry out agglomeration cluster analysis of individual territorial units were used descriptive statistics for selected characteristics of individuals, having recorded in 2007 for the regional markets, average transaction prices of real estate housing, of building and land. Its results were presented in the form of dendrograms - illustrating the steps linking the statistics objects in homogeneous classes.

Barbara Stolińska - Real estate transactions in selected European Union countries

Many people and enterprises no longer limit the horizon of their activities and aims to the borders of their own country. The ongoing integration of the European Union, in particular the free movement of capital has created a the growing trend for foreigners to acquire real estate abroad. Taking all above into consideration it seems to be worth to gain knowledge of the legal and tax connected with real estate in each country. The article characterises purchase and sale of real estate in Austria and Portugal.

Aneta Zaremba - Market veryfication of properties’ values

The following article provides basic information about functioning of real estate market with special attention being paid to the concept of “individual value”. The value of real estate is very important for every investor, who through his investment decisions, aims to raise the value of real estate.

Adam Nalepka, Stanisław Belniak - Certified professionals operating in Polish Real Estate market and their companies

Act on real estate economics, introduced three certified professions operating in real estate market: real estate broker, property manager and real estate valuator. The paper presents scope of activities of the professions, regulations that rule the operations of the professions. Presented were also companies within which professionals operate. The Authors conducted quantitative and qualitative description of companies operating as real estate brokers, property management and valuators.

Marzena Bac - Insurance awareness among property owners according to outcomes of survey (part II)

The article presents the results of the questionnaire which was carried out on the group of 504 people who owned properties in the region of high catastrophic threat in Poland. The research was carried out in the doctoral dissertation and was its empirical part. The aim of the research was to describe the level of the awareness of the existing of threats and results of catastrophic events and possibilities of insurance against them (insurance awareness) in the researched group.

Katarzyna Małecka - Wrocław’s plan against crisis

The article presents Programme for Wrocław announced by the city authorities refering to financial crisis and global economic slowdown. It is a programme of economic support aimed at creating new jobs and active employment protection policy. The programme is based on public investments, support for development of small and medium sized enterprises, attracting and promotion of investment and employment protection policy. Programme for Wrocław is executed by Municipality of Wroclaw in cooperation with labour office and Wrocław Agglomeration Development Agency. Presented document can be an example for other Polish cities and an evidence that you can and should be active against global economic slowdown on every authority level.

Marcin Nowak - Location of retail properties in voivodship of Poland

The article introduces the concept of commercial – estate in polish regions. Commercial – estate are very important part of regional – development. Regions are instead of European Spatial Planning Observation Network divided to metropolital – regions and other regions. In article were submited numbers of commercial – objects in polish regions and numbers of commerce – businessmans in this regions.

Rafał Pesta - Land lease contract for build on wind farm

The paper set out aspects appeared in land lease agreements related to development wind farms. Performed market practice in lease agreements of lands and sentences guarantee scope of rights for consuming profits from the purpose of agreement. Lease contract is concluded for a terminated period (29 years) aimed at the development wind farm in the identified location. Investor (leaseholder) takes investment decisions basing on initial measurement campaign. Energy resources are assumptions for calculating economic rationale.
